A high school principal in Austin, Texas recently got some help from Phoenix in her effort to get students to show up to class on time.
According to KUTV, the French indie rockers played a very intimate show in the Anderson High School gymnasium on Monday for the PBS series "Live from the Artists Den."
Phoenix reportedly picked the location themselves, and after principal Donna Houser did a little online research to see if the band was high school appropriate, she agreed to host the concert.
But the gym couldn't hold every student at Anderson, so Houser set up a perfect attendance contest. Students got a chance to win a ticket if they didn't miss a class and weren't tardy. A total of 450 students got to attend the concert, and Houser says they were all "out of their minds" with excitement.
